Population Change

Changes in a population s size, growth rate, and composition can have profound effects on society, the economy, and individual health and well-being. PRB tracks the key demographic trends underlying global population change and helps decisionmakers understand these trends and their implications.

The Demographic Dividend, Revisited

The demographic dividend becomes possible when fertility declines sufficiently to increase the number of the working age population relative to the rest of the population and to reduce the investments needed to care for children (an improvement in the dependency ratios).
