Proper health and nutrition are at the core of ensuring the positive well-being of people and communities, yet it can be a challenge for governments at all levels to determine how to craft effective policies that promote health and nutrition.

PRB’s research and analysis on global health matters include noncommunicable diseases, the state of children’s health in the United States, the effect of unhealthy life habits such as use of opioids and tobacco, trends in HIV/AIDs, Zika, the impact of malnutrition for mothers and infants, and more. Through our work, we help build the evidence base to inform effective policies and programs.

We add to the knowledge base on health and nutritional matters in a variety of ways: through data analysis and synthesis of relevant research, the production of communication materials for use by policy advocates, and our training for journalists to strengthen their capacity to cover health and nutritional issues.
