Janine Gawel is budgeter and proposal coordinator in Business Development. Her work includes coordinating and managing the grant proposal and budget development process, and conducting research to inform PRB s business development efforts. Gawel has both domestic and international experience with a wide range of business development aspects, including research, writing, budgeting, managing proposal processes, and implementing initiatives to improve efficiency. She previously worked for the Chicago-based nonprofits Skills for Chicagoland s Future, and the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine from 2011 to 2013. Gawel holds a master s degree in public affairs from Indiana University and a bachelor s degree in political science from Southern Illinois University. She speaks Russian and some French.
