is the director of the Institut Sup
rieur des Sciences de la
Population (ISSP) at the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. Prior to ISSP, Kobian
worked at the National Statistical Office of Burkina Faso. His research interests include the analysis of the links between family structure and poverty, as well as the transition to adulthood in West Africa. Bougma is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Montreal. His research interests include fertility and its links to educational attainment.
